Think before sending Nastygram to Agents

BookEnds Agency has a good article on why this is a bad idea!

Don't Do It

Before you get smug or cocky or just plain rude in your reply to a rejection, think twice. Rejections are a part of the writing process, after all.

  1. I'm not sure why I'd want to send a nastygram to an agent. I realize rejection letters can be tough or having an agent respond to a query with something snarky can be bothersome. But I'm not sure what I'd accomplish by replying with something less than professional.

  2. Ha! I know I'd never do it, but I've talked with agents who get smug replies. :-)
