Just browsing on Twitter this morning of the new year (2012!), and had to resist signing up for an attractive writer's conference.
Why?
Because I need to spend the time working on my manuscript. So long, San Francisco and fabulous agents, and excitement. Hello critique group, organizing, editing and rewrites.

You've got to do what you know is right for your writing. Maybe a different conference later in the year when you've gotten you biggest writing needs taken care of.
