Yep, you can tell your story in 9 sentences, according to Larry Brooks of STORYFIX.
I was skeptical, but here are some of the highlights:


  1. Hook
  2. Part 1 exposition (set-up)
  3. First Plot Point
  4. Part 2 exposition (response, journey begins)
  5. Mid-Point
  6. Part 3 exposition (hero now becomes proactive)
  7. Second Plot Point
  8. Part 4 exposition (hero becomes catalyst for…)
  9. Ending/resolution
