Science or Art?

Some of us writers approach our craft like scientists: methodical, disciplined and researched. Some write by the seat of our pants (known as 'pantsers'): stream-of-consciousness writers who put words on paper when the muse strikes.

As much as I love science, I have to admit that I'm not as disciplined at writing as someone who applies the Scientific Method to his/her WIP. Mine languishes when I am down, or sick.
I found a good book that describes hundreds of author stories to give a 'Glimmer' of hope.

Inspiration abounds, no matter what your writing style. INSPIRATION AND DISCIPLINE focuses on the more private aspects of a writer's life including family, friends, the incorporation of autobiographical material into their literary work, the responsibilities associated with writing professionally, the artistic nature of a writer's vocation, etc.

So, go get inspired.
