I decided to take the excerpt from my YA Modern Fantasy novel instead: 

 

"room, staring at the open window. He’d pixilated her. She’d been entranced, fooled. The Fae came into focus, perched lightly on the sill.

            Zanrien held her gaze for a moment, dropped, then was gone.

            The dizziness cleared. No, no, how could I have been so stupid? Panic charged through her. She felt for the Mirror necklace that had been at her neck.

            It was next to her skin."
